API Keys
Managing your Anthropic API key in Settings → Workspace.
Borker only requires one external API key: Anthropic (for Claude). Everything else — social platform connections, scheduling, publishing — is handled by Borker's own integrations and doesn't need keys from you.
Anthropic API key (required)
What it does: Every piece of AI-generated content in Borker is a call to Claude. Without an Anthropic key, content generation doesn't work.
How to get and add your key
sk-ant-)The key is validated immediately. A Configured badge on the row means it is working.
What about social platform keys?
For X, LinkedIn, and Farcaster you don't need any keys. Borker connects to these platforms through OAuth in the Settings → Channels page. Click + Connect account, authorize on the platform, done.
Paragraph is the exception: it uses a personal API key from your Paragraph account. You'll be prompted for it the first time you connect a Paragraph channel, and you can manage it later under Settings → Workspace → API Keys.
See Connecting Channels.
Managing your key
All API key management lives at Settings → Keys:
- Replace: paste a new key over the old one and save
- Remove: click Remove next to the saved key and confirm
- Visibility: keys are encrypted at rest and shown masked in the UI
If you remove your Anthropic key, content generation will start failing immediately on the next workflow run.
